안녕하세요!
Hi there!
My name is Nicole!
I am a Private Korean tutor & Interpreter and translator with 4 years experience!
My Story
I didn’t grow up speaking Korean.
When I first came to South Korea in December 2016, I was just another foreigner trying to understand a language that felt overwhelming, confusing, and honestly… intimidating.
I started learning Korean seriously at a language school and eventually completed Level 6 at Kyung Hee University. Later, I enrolled at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, where I studied interpretation and translation. I majored in Spanish interpretation and translation, and also double-majored in Malay–Indonesian interpretation and translation. I graduated in 2022.
Even after graduating, I never stopped studying Korean. I’m still learning, still researching, and still discovering new things about this language. I love Korean not just because it’s beautiful, but because I remember how lonely it felt to learn it without enough guidance. I often wished someone could explain things clearly, in a way that foreigners actually understand, and tell me what really matters at each stage.
I began tutoring through Preply, and as of 2026, I’ve taught over 5,000 hours to learners from different backgrounds and levels.
Through teaching, I realized something important: most learners are not bad at Korean, they’re just not taught in a way that fits them.
I speak multiple languages, including English, Mandarin, Malay, Indonesian, Spanish, and Cantonese.
Because I’ve learned several languages myself, I can explain Korean grammar and expressions by comparing them to a language you’re more comfortable with.
My certifications include:
TOPIK Level 6 · HSK Level 6 · TOEIC 935 · OPiC AL
I don’t believe in pressuring students or rushing progress. I’m still a learner myself, so I understand the frustration, self-doubt, and fear of making mistakes.
My goal is simple: to help you feel less confused, less alone, and more confident as you learn Korean.
That’s what Langsnack is about.
